A Bit of History.

(Not so Ancient.)

My name is Mark Rothwell, I've recently become an accredited coach with the AoEC (Academy of Executive Coaching). For the 7 years leading up to my accreditation I have worked in hospitality and for all its faults, it did grant me opportunity for interactions with a broad spectrum of people from the homeless to famous actors and all sorts in between. Through these interactions I found myself naturally leaning towards having more coaching type conversations with the people I encountered daily, without formal training. So eventually I decided to leave hospitality, get formal training and dive into coaching. I wanted to discover what my contributions to a different kind of service industry could be.

I have worked with managers from both the corporate and charity sectors, over a small range of nationalities including Portuguese, French and British.

I Like to follow a flexible, simple framework. That includes identifying some self-set goals and discussing the best path to reaching them usually in relation to work. Other aspects of the framework can involve deciphering potential roadblocks, creating an environment for self reflection and challenging perspectives/modes of thinking. Essentially my goal is to create a dedicated space where the idea is to work together to find solutions through dialogue.
